Alaska exam registration
How do I register?
You must first apply to the Alaska board for approval to sit for the exam in Alaska. Visit the board’s Web site for instructions on the approval process.
Alaska’s posted deadlines are as follows:
- First-time examinees—January 30
- Repeat examinees—February 20
After the board has notified you of your approval, register online with NCEES (deadline: February 23) to reserve your seat for the exam.
Exam authorization
NCEES will e-mail you 2–3 weeks before the exam with a link to download and print your exam authorization notice. Read it carefully. You will be required to present this document along with a valid, government-issued photo ID upon arrival at the exam site.

NCEES releases results to the board 8–10 weeks after the exam. The board will then notify you of your exam result.
