Description of positions
NCEES's key to success is the tremendous level of participation from hundreds of highly qualified individuals on the Board of Directors, working committees, and headquarters staff. The President, President-Elect, Past President, Treasurer, and four Vice Presidents are elected by Council membership during zone meetings and the Annual Business Meeting.

President: Presides at all meetings, appoints standing committees, and presents a report of the activities during his/her term. Appoints all official representatives of the Council to other organizations. Executes all business as directed by the Council or the Board of Directors and signs all certificates and other official documents. Chair of the Board of Directors and ex-officio member of all committees.

President-Elect: In the absence of the President, exercises the duties of and possesses all the powers of the President. Ex-officio member of the Finance Committee. Normally elected for three termsPresident-Elect, President, and Immediate Past President.

Past-President: Serves a 1-year term as an advisor to the President. Liaison to appointed committees.

Treasurer: Oversees the financial operation of the Council. Submits an annual audit of Council finances by an independent CPA. Ex-officio member of the Finance Committee. Serves a 2-year term.

Vice President: Administrative officer of respective zone and is responsible to the President for operation of the committees assigned. Vice Presidents from the Southern and Northeast Zone elected odd-numbered years. Vice Presidents from the Central and Western Zones elected even-numbered years. Serves a 2-year term. |
