NCEES Engineering Award

In 2009, NCEES introduced an award that rewards college engineering programs for engaging their students in collaborative projects with licensed professional engineers.

The NCEES Engineering Award for Connecting Professional Practice and Education was established to promote understanding of the value of licensure and to encourage collaboration between the engineering profession and education. All EAC/ABET-accredited engineering programs are invited to submit projects that demonstrate a meaningful partnership between professional practice and education. Projects must be in progress or completed by April 1, 2011.

Awards

The NCEES Engineering Award includes six cash awards.
  • Grand prize: $25,000
  • Five awards: $7,500

Use of the funds awarded is at the discretion of the winning engineering departments/colleges. NCEES encourages their use for the advancement of projects connecting professional practice and education.

Entry deadline: May 16, 2011

The grand prize winner will be recognized at the NCEES Annual Meeting in August 2011. All award-winning submissions will be exhibited at the event and featured on the NCEES Web site and in NCEES publications and other related professional publications.
