Attendees participate in multiple group projects and activities throughout the workshop that allow the instructor to judge comprehension and application of the material. Discussion is also encouraged at every point during the workshop, which helps the instructor evaluate how the material is being received and what points need to be clarified. After each section (2-4 hours), attendees are asked to complete a “workshop review,” writing down three things they learned during that portion. This is useful for attendees to use when reviewing the course material, and in filling out the course evaluation. |
