CPC Requirements by Jurisdiction: North Dakota Engineering

CPC Requirements:   Mandatory
Number of PDH required per period:   30
Renewal Term:   Biennial
Carryover from one renewal period to the next:   up to 15
Comity:   PDH's earned for use in another jurisdiction may be used for credit in North Dakota if that jurisdiction's CPC standards meet or exceed North Dakota's CPC standards.
Record keeping and submission requirements:   Records must contain a description of the type of activity being claimed, the name of the sponsoring organization, the time, duration, dare and location where the activity was offered as well as the name of the instructor or person making the presentation. Most organizations offering CPC credits will provide a certificate or attendance roster which verifies this information. For those instances where a certificate is not readily available, the State Board of Registration has developed a generis certificate which can be completed and verified by the provider or sponsor of the activity. Copies of the certificate are available by contacting the State Board of Registration.
Provider approval required by state board:   While the State Board of Registration may pre-approve courses, providers or activities, it is the responsibility of the registrant to determine whether the activity qualifies as a PDH.
State-specific requirements:   At least 20 PhD's must be in technical subjects that directly safeguard the public's health, safety, and welfare. The remaining 10 PDH's may be in non technical subjects.
